DAR ES SALAAM: TANZANIA is engaged with Oman in talks that aim to strengthen bilateral cooperation in economic development, with a major focus on the financial sector.
It was announced today, 21 May, in Dar es Salaam that the governor of the Bank of Tanzania (BoT), Emmanuel Tutuba, held talks with a delegation from Oman led by the Chief Executive Officer of Nakheel Development Company, Ali Said Uraimi, on the sector for the benefits of the both countries.
The discussions aimed at strengthening economic cooperation between the two countries, prioritized the financial sector.
The meeting was convened today at the Bank of Tanzania(BoT) headquarters in Dar es Salaam and was also attended by the Ambassador of Oman to Tanzania, Saud Al Shidhan, along with senior officials from both public institutions and the private sector in Oman.
Participants discussed various opportunities for financial cooperation and investment between the two sides.
During the talks, both parties expressed a strong commitment to working closely in order to foster economic development by leveraging each other’s resources and expertise.

The goal is to enhance efficiency in the financial sector and attract new investments from Oman into Tanzania.
In addition to the economic meeting, the Omani delegation also held discussions with the Director General of the National Housing Corporation (NHC), Hamad Abdallah. The meeting focused on developing joint strategies to boost the housing sector through international partnerships, marking another step in deepening development relations between the two nations.
